Crafts

Fruits of the Spirit Basket 

But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control. Against such things there is no instruction – Galatians 5:22-23

Supplies Needed

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons, Markers, Paint
  • Glue
  • 2 Paper Plates

Instructions:

1. Print, color and cutout fruits and basket.

2. Cut one paper plate in half.

3. Glue paper plates together with front of plates facing each other. (See example)

4. Glue basket drawing to the front of the half plate.

5. Color the paper plates whichever color you would like.6. You can either glue the fruits to the plates like the example, or you can place fruits inside

the paper plates like you would with a basket.

Flames of the Spirit

And there are diversity of gifts, but there is only one Spirit – 1st Corinthians 12:4

Supplies Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
  • Glue
  • String or Dental Floss

Instructions

Version #1

1. Print, color and cutout pages. (Optional: Color both sides of the swirl.)

2. Write Bible Verse on swirl (1st Corinthians 12:11-12)

3. Glue flames to swirl spreading them out. You can glue on only one side or both sides.

4. Write Gifts of the Spirit on the Dove and poke a small hole on the line between the wings.

5. String a small piece of string or dental floss through the hole and tie off making a loop.

6. Poke small hole in the end of the swirl and attach the bible verse with string of dental floss.


 Version #2:

1. Print, color and cutout pages (except the swirl).

2. Write Gifts of the Spirit on the Dove and poke a small hole on the line between the wings.

3. Poke 15 small holes equally spaced on the bottom of the dove.

4. Glue or tie flames to pieces of string at equal or different lengths.

5. Do the same with the bible verse but at a length longer than the flames.

6. String and glue or tie flames to the dove, leaving hole in the middle empty.

7. Do the same with bible verse in the empty hole in the middle.

  • Glue
  • Colored or White Paper 

Instructions

  1. Print, color and cutout the last page.
  2. Arrange the pieces in the form of a fruit and glue to a separate piece of paper.
  3. Write bible verse on piece of paper.

Supplies Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
  • Glue
  • Colores or White Paper

Instructions

1. Cut out 9 different colored stripes about 1” (2.5cm) wide and 7” (18cm) long. Or use white paper

and color them.

2. Write one fruit of the spirit on each strip.

3. Apply glue to the top of one end of one strip and apply the end of another strip on top.

4. Repeat with all 9 strips moving in a circular motion, so that you have a circle by the time all 9

strips are glued together. (Make sure the writing is on the outside)

5. Once the glue is dried, repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other end of the strips and once finished,

you will have the shape of a ball.

6. Cut out leaf and stem shapes in a separate piece of paper.

7. Write the words “Fruits of the Spirit” and the chapter and verse, on the leaf and stem. Glue to

the top of the paper ball.

Bumble Bee

My son, eat honey because it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to your palate, so shall knowledge of wisdom be to your soul when you have found there is a future reward and your hope is not cut off - Proverbs 24:13-14

Supplies Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
  • Metal Brad
  • Toilet Paper Roll
  • Piece of Cardboard at least 2" x 2"(6cm x 6cm)
  • Construction Paper of Felt (Black, yellow, and other color of choice)

Instructions

1. Print and cut out shapes on last page.

2. Wrap toilet paper roll with yellow construction paper or felt, glue and cut off excess.

3. Either color strips provided, black or use as template and cut out strips with the black

construction paper or felt.

4. Glue strips over yellow construction paper on toilet paper roll, leaving space in-between.

5. Take piece of cardboard and cut out circle using template, or color template instead and

use that.

6. Glue bottom of circle on top of the toilet paper roll.

7. Use wing template and cut out wings in construction paper of choice. Or use template and

color.

8. Glue antennas to top of the head.

9. Glue mouth and eyes provided to circle (face) or draw any face you would like.

10. Cut out verse and glue it to back in the space between the wings.

In the Garden

He is not here, for He was raised, as He said. Come see the place where He was lying - Matthew 28:6

Supplies Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
  • Glue
  • Optional: Piece of Cardboard, Same Size as Paper

Instructions

1. Print, color and cutout everything on the second page.

2. Cut door off page 1 (save for later) and fold the page at the fold lines to make a cave.

3. Glue “He is not Here” to either the front or back of the cave, so it can be seen through the

door.

4. Cut out the last page and color it. (Optional: glue page to cardboard same size as paper)

5. Glue cave to last page where marked.

6. Cut up dotted lines on door, fold the flaps and glue to the last page near the cave. (Door

not seen in example).

7. Fold the rectangle boxes under the figures on page two and glue them on the last page in

any order with the cave.

At the Tomb

But on the first of the Sabbaths, Mariam Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness yet being on it. And she saw the stone had been removed from the tomb - John 20:1

Supplies Needed

  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Crayons or Markers
  • Glue
  • Piece of Cardboard, Same Size as Paper*
  • Ribbon, String or Dental Floss
  • Knife or sharp object to cut

*Cereal Box Works Great

Instructions

1. Print, color and cutout the last page.

2. Color the first page and glue it on top of the cardboard.

3. Very carefully and with adult supervision, poke holes through gray dots. (Make sure you

cut through the paper and the cardboard.)

4. Thread string through holes and tie a knot in the back.

5. Fold Rectangle cutout in half so it’s in the form of a “V”.

6. Glue one end of rectangle to the back of stone

7. Apply glue to other end of the rectangle and fold together with string inside.

8. Glue second page on top of the first page, aligning it correctly but make sure not to apply

glue in the line of motion of the rock.

9. Move rock by pulling on the string.
